The well-being of educators and their students is interconnected. Kevin's work has addressed this interconnection and its biopsychosocial implications for mental health and for student learning . His work in community mental health services provides an understanding of how schools can work with community agencies to provide the right care for students. Kevin can work with you to provide strategies to promote student and staff mental health through effective interventions and programs

Foundations of Successful Implementation

Good implementation is the key to ensuring good ideas result in positive outcomes. Schools are busy, complex places, and getting buy-in and sustained implementation is hard. Building on his work with in bullying prevention and with School Mental Health Ontario, the implementation partner of the Ontario Ministry of Education, Kevin provides expert guidance on how to build the foundations for sustainable implementation of school-wide interventions to support student well-being.

Kevin has worked extensively in innovative bullying and aggression prevention programming for schools, including work with Professor Donna Cross on the Friendly Schools social-emotional learning intervention, CyberFriendly Schools, focusing on cybersafety and cyberbullying. This includes innovative work in helping schools respond to incidents of bullying after they have occurred.
